Wisdom education in ancient Israelite tradition was a process of formation that connected knowledge with character, morality, and the human relationship with God. However, this integrative dimension has not always been explicitly formulated as a foundation for contemporary Christian Religious Education (CRE). This study aims to analyze the concept of wisdom education in Proverbs 1:1–7 and to formulate its relevance for CRE. The study employs a qualitative approach using the library research method. The primary data is the text of Proverbs 1:1–7, while the supporting data are drawn from studies of wisdom literature, Old Testament theology, and Christian education. The analysis is conducted historically-theologically and exegetically, paying attention to the structure of the pericope, key terms, educational aims, and the relationships among the elements of the text. The findings show that wisdom education in Proverbs 1:1–7 encompasses the development of knowledge and life skills, the cultivation of moral character through righteousness and discipline, openness to instruction and correction, and a theological foundation in the fear of the LORD. These findings indicate that wisdom is a holistic formation that integrates intellectual, ethical, pedagogical, and theological dimensions. Therefore, Proverbs 1:1–7 can serve as a biblical foundation for CRE to develop learning that does not stop at the transfer of knowledge, but forms learners who are able to discern what is true, accept instruction, and live a God-oriented life.
